Old Whiskey, Fast Cars, Making Money

It seems odd that I am writing about obsolete and outdated technology on a computer. Posting it on the the web for the world to see. I can barely use this advanced piece of machinery that I am posting on. I was going to try and use word press.....I can't even get it loaded. Even though I grew up in the computer age, I never picked up on them like my friends, I guess I'm just outdated.

Anyways. This blog is about old things. QUALITY. Made in America. Carburetors. Petrolina. Hot Rods.  MAN-tiques & antiques. Old cars. Metal. re-purposing. rebuilding. re-using. recycling. restoring. Edible gardening. Good food. CRAFTSMANSHIP.....Basically my life and specifically the old stuff that revolves around my life. First I should tell you I work on cars. I am self employed and in the process of making the jump from mobile repair to my own shop. I work hard, play harder, and I love my life. So here it goes.

We'll start with my newest vehicle. This is Old Blue. This was/always will be my grandfathers truck. It's a 1979 Ford F250. It's 4 years older than I am and drives like it is brand new. I think about him every time I drive it. It's a keeper.

I use this thing for it's exact original intended purpose. Hauling stuff. You'll probably see a lot of this thing on my various adventures.

Next we have Beefcake. My 1972 K5 Blazer project. This is my 2nd car. My first being a 1967 Pontiac Tempest custom convertible. I've had it for 11 years now. I drove this all through high school. I'm currently toying with the idea of performing a diesel swap on it and running it on waste vegetable oil.(WVO) If I do, you'll hear about it here.

For those that don't know. It has a removable fiberglass top. Here is a picture with the roof on.

Yes. It leaks water everywhere.

Next we have my 1967 Pontiac GTO. I bought this my senior year of high school. It was a basket case. I'm not really sure what the plan is with this thing. I've had it awhile. I had planned to keep it, but my taste have changed. I am thinking it might get a spit and polish and then sold.

That brings me to this. My 1930 Ford A model Coupe hot rod project. I Have had this about 10 months. I'm building it to be my daily driver.  It was just a body when I got it. It's a huge project. but I've made decent progress on it so far. I have a lot to fill you in on this one.

That's about it for now. I've got a few "late models" that I rotate around and buy and sell for extra cash. But you won't hear much about them here. Just the cool stuff

I'll show you the "Secret Laboratory"  next time.
